How to Distribute a GNU Linux Game Binary

What thing I keep looking for-on the tubes-is how to wrap up a binary with game data and distribute it online. Think a demo. Even in Windows you have to use Visual Studio-which I don't want to do-I want to know how to do it manually.

Anyone have any clues? Feel free to post!

Ciao

  1. I know that most games published on linux use the Loki setup system, including Neverwinter Nights and Unreal, to name a few.

P.S. I thought I'd posted this earlier, but I may have made a mistake. Or you may have a comment approval queue going on.

  3. *chuckles* Yes, spam bots are evil. Sorry for not replying earlier ( a whole year!). Loki is abit old-have you seen any tutorials on setting it up for a modern distro? That's what this blog is all about-bridging the necessary knowledge to people to get small projects started.
